Iqleen Virdi knows the value of being connected. That's why she is serving as a Councilwoman for Marlboro Township.
We believe that running a fiscally conservative government is essential for Marlboro Residents. Towards that end, every year we require each of our municipal departments to justify every tax dollar spent.
All of the measures have made Marlboro one of the strongest financial towns in the State. In fact, Marlboro Township has a AAA credit rating from both Moody’s and Standard & Poors, one of only six in the entire State of NJ.
Keeping our residents safe is our top priority. Thanks to Marlboro Police led by Chief Pezzulo, Marlboro remains one of the safest towns in New Jersey. In fact, we have received numerous safety awards from independent organizations, including a recent article listing us as the 19th safest small towns in the United States.
The Hornik Administration is focused on a forward-thinking investment plan for capital improvements. Our multi-year capital plan is supported by our strong fiscal policy with AAA credit rating allowing us to finance projects at the lowest rate.
The Township has preserved more than 310 acres of land in lieu of development during Mayor Hornik’s term in office.
We formed the Economic Development Committee (EDC) in 2008 with a mandate to make Marlboro more business friendly and attract quality dining and shopping. Our approach to managed economic growth helps ease the residential tax burden.
We recognize our senior citizens as an important part of Marlboro’s community. Since taking office Mayor Hornik have worked hard to create new and affordable programs focused on arts and crafts, exercise, social groups, and overall wellness.
We believe our diversity makes our community strong and should be celebrated. We take immense pride that people of different religious, ethnic, and cultural backgrounds chose Marlboro as a place to raise their families.
Your support and contributions will enable us to meet our goals and fund our mission.
We love our community, so feel free to visit.
